Daily Mirror - Sri Lanka
|September 27, 2025
TikTok, in collaboration with the Government of Sri Lanka, launched a new in-app destination, a specialized STEM Feed that provides young learners with reliable science, technology, engineering and mathematics content.
The launch was graced by Prime Minister and Minister of Education Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, government officials, education leaders, TikTok representatives and local creators. The program is part of the larger digital transformation policy of education by the government.
“The launch of TikTok’s STEM feed is an important step forward, I’m very hopeful that this initiative will contribute to furthering the education of Sri Lanka’s youth.”
“Education will make the difference between, whether our children are prepared for the world ahead, or we can equip them to realise those dreams,” Prime Minister added.
