In a strategic move to attract the growing Polish tourism market, the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) has partnered with The Barn House Sri Lanka to introduce ‘Whispers of Ceylon’, a novel wedding and engagement offering.

Sri Lanka Tourism’s Whispers of Ceylon wedding offering taps into Polish market

This initiative, launched on August 24, 2025, with a Polish couple, aims to position Sri Lanka as a premier destination for high-end European weddings by blending the indigenous customs with luxury, eco-conscious hospitality.

The key objective of this move was to a novel wedding experience and also a new concept for the foreign travellers, who would like to have their special day planned in Sri Lanka. This will highlight that there is a niche market for high-end tourists, especially with the native community (veddah) in Sri Lanka, while having the experience of getting involved with their customs, tradition and rituals. This is a great initiative of preserving Sri Lankas age-old traditional heritage of the native communities along with their respective rituals.
