NALANDA CRUSH TRINITY WITH BIG WIN

Nalanda College began their Under 19 inter-school limited over tournament campaign with a massive 132 runs win over Trinity College in their match played at Campbell Place yesterday.
Nalanda taking first lease of the wicket was helped by valuable knocks from opener Lithum Wijekumara (48), Namindu Akmeemana (50) and Mihin Zoysa (45) and in reply strangled Trinity with three early wickets for just 17 runs from which they could not receover in the face of a 249 target, all out for 116.
In other matches St Thomas' College, Matara recorded a 23 runs win over Isipathana while Holy Cross College Kalutara, P de S. Kularatne MMV Ambalangoda, Henegama Central and Sri Pangnananda MMV Raddoluwa also posted wins.
