Investigations reveal the tablets were to be sold to schoolchildren at Rs. 300 each
As consignment of more than 359,000 intoxicant tablets was seized in transit, and a suspect was arrested during a raid at Mandimuruppu yesterday.
The suspect was transporting it from Kalpitiya to Vavuniya by a double cab when the police carried out the raid on a tip-off regarding the racket.
