TO PICK UP AS AN ADULT

Most of us are now just moving from one screen to another. From the work computer to the phone to the TV. Sometimes, what you really need is to do something with your hands, to create something tangible, or just to get a little lost in a simple, satisfying task. Like when you were a kid and you had little hobbies where time would just melt away.

That feeling isn't reserved for childhood. Picking up a hobby as an adult isn’t about becoming a master or a side hustle. It’s about finding a little pocket of joy for yourself. Here are a few ideas that are surprisingly easy to jump into and incredibly rewarding.

Painting

I couldn't paint to save my life as a child. But I am not too bad as an adult and it has become one of my favourite things to do now. Forget being 'good'. The goal here is to be 'happy'. Mixing vibrant colours and creating art on a canvas is a fantastic way to de-stress and express yourself.
