150 teams to contest oldest netball championship

As many as 150 teams are expected to contest the Western Province Netball Association's (WPNA) Eva all-island Open Netball Tournament on January 31 and February 1, 2026 at the Air Force ground, Slave Island, Colombo 2.
The tournament is the country's premier and oldest netball competition, held consistently at a national level for over 30 years.
According to WPNA President Caryll Tozer and Secretary Kumudini Gomes, a large number of internationally experienced players, along with upcoming youth talent, are expected to participate in the A Division Open Women's and Under-19 Girls' segments.
