Silvermill first coconut-based manufacturer to receive ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation

IN a landmark achievement for Sri Lanka’s coconut industry, Silvermill Group has become the first Sri Lankan coconut-based manufacturer to receive the prestigious ISO/ IEC 17025:2017 accreditation for both its microbiology and chemical laboratories.

The internationally recognised accreditation, which certifies the technical competence and reliability of laboratory testing, was officially awarded to Silvermill by the Sri Lanka Accreditation Board (SLAB) on World Accreditation Day.
The successful implementation of the accreditation was guided by the BESPA Project, conducted by the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) under the framework of the National Quality Infrastructure Development Program.
