PACESETTERS Navy SC continued their nine-match winning streak in the SLC Major Club Women’s Limited-Over Tournament with a 41-run win over Air Force SC at Katunayake yesterday.

An opening partnership of 90 between Hasini Perera (62 off 102 balls, 7 fours) and Nilakshana Sandamini (33), and one of 64 by skipper Hansima Karunaratne (39) and Dahami Sanethma (22), formed Navy SC’s total of 183-8. Air Force SC were never in the hunt as they were dismissed for 142 in 45 overs, with left-arm spinner Inoka Ranaweera making inroads into their batting to finish with 4/22 off 10 overs. Malsha Shehani stuck it out for 81 balls, scoring 60 (5 fours, 1 six) before being ninth out at 131.
