Macksons Solar sets new benchmark with largest rooftop installation

IN a landmark move for Sri Lanka's renewable energy sector, Macksons Solr, in collaboration with Mackties, unveiled the country largest rooftop solar project at the Macktles Lanka Ltd, factory complex in Bandaragama.

This 10 megawatt (MW) installation comprises over 18,000 high effciency solar panels, advanced inverter systems and state-of-the-art monitoring technology.
Together, they are expected to generate approximately 12 GWh of clean energy annually, while reducing approximately 8,000 tonnes of carbon emissions each year.
Spread across the extensive rooftop ofthe Macktles manufacturing facility, the 10 MW solar system delivers renewable energy directly tothe plant, significantly lowering its reliance on grid power while channelling surplus electricity to support a more sustainable national energy network.
