SRI Lanka Women’s Team Captain Chamari Athapaththu swept the board with 6 awards at the annual Home Lands Sri Lanka Cricket Awards Night held at Cinnamon Lite on Monday night.

Chamari won the prestigious Women’s Cricketer of the Year award in addition to bagging five others - Best Batter and Best All-rounder (WODI), and Best Batter, Best Bowler and Best All-rounder (WT20I).

White ball rounder Wanindu Hasaranga won the most awards in the Men’s category-3 for Best Bowler (ODI), Best Bowler and Best All-rounder (T20I).

Young Kamindu Mendis who had a great 2024 won the prestigious Men's Cricketer of the Year award. He was also won the Best Batsman in Tests award. Janith Liyanage won the Emerging Player of the Year award, while Chamara De Zoysa (Umpire of the Year) and Pradeep Jeyapragash (Match Referee of the Year) also won awards.

Lifetime Awards were presented to former Sri Lanka cricketers Ranjit Fernando, Chandra Schaffter and Stanley Jayasinghe, and Janaka Pathirana. A total of 46 awards will be presented during the ceremony.
