FITIS appoints new Board for 2025/2026

FEDERATION of Information Technology (Guarantee) Ltd., (FITIS) held its 8th Annual General Meeting on 30 April at the Hilton Colombo Residencies. During this meeting the members elected Dr. Dayan Rajapakse as the new Chairman of FITIS succeeding Indika de Zoysa who completed his two-year tenure as the Chairman.

Addressing the AGM, the outgoing Chairman Indika De Zoysa highlighted the contributions made by FITIS to the ICT Industry, during the past two years. He stated that, “FITIS is now widely recognised by the Government and the ICT sector for its contribution to national policies, the assistance provided in the country’s journey towards digital transformation and most of all, setting the goal of achieving $ 15 billion in digital economy by 2030”.

As a respected leader in education and technology, Dr. Rajapakse is widely recognised for his contributions to advancing digital skills and innovation in Sri Lanka. Notably, he is the first individual to have served as both President of the Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL) (2014-2015) and now as Chairman of FITIS. He also serves as President of the Sri Lanka Association of Non-State Higher Education Institutes (SLANSHEI) and as Chairman and Managing Director of ESOFT Metro Campus.
