Bank of Ceylon (BOC) is marking World Thrift Day 2025 by encouraging Sri Lankans to make saving a consistent part of their lives and to view thrift as a foundation for financial security and national progress.
The Bank said that in today’s uncertain global climate, building a habit of saving has become more important than ever. Every rupee set aside, it noted, strengthens both households and the wider economy.
BOC offers a wide range of savings products designed to meet the needs of customers at every stage of life, from children and students to professionals and retirees. Its Ran Kekulu Smart and 14+ accounts for children provide attractive interest rates along with guardian insurance, scholarships, and rewards for academic excellence, including recognition for top performers at the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination.
