United defeat was a learning curve for Kieran and Co

KIERAN TRIPPIER says Newcastle have learnt to become winners after they were too emotional in their previous Wembley final.
The full-back conceded the Toon blew it against Manchester United two years ago when they stayed too close to Wembley, got caught up in the day and ended up losing 2-0.
But Trippier thinks this generation of Newcastle players have the experience and winning mentality that eluded even the stars of the past.
Newcastle went so close to winning the title under Kevin Keegan, right, but not even Alan Shearer could end the trophy drought.
Now, after 56 years without silverware, the Carabao Cup has made all of Newcastle’s dreams come true and Trippier and Co will go down as club legends.
The defender said: "If you look at the history of Newcastle, you see unbelievable players.
