Transgender girls stopped from joining Girlguiding

TRANSGENDER girls will no longer be able to join Girlguiding, as the youth organisation has confirmed it will limit membership to “girls and young women”.
The “difficult decision” comes almost eight months after the Supreme Court ruled “woman” and “sex” as used in the Equality Act 2010 refer to a biological woman and biological sex.
Girlguiding said it had since taken “expert legal advice” plus input from members, its council and board of trustees.
