KIERAN TRIPPIER issued an apology to Newcastle fans after the Magpies slumped to a third Premier League defeat in a row.
Victory for the Bees was their first at St James' Park since 1934.
The final whistle was met by boos around the stadium and by the time Newcastle players made their way to the Gallowgate End for the usual lap of appreciation, just a small portion of fans were left.
