Broad is urging England to learn from Stokes absence
STUART BROAD wants England to put a positive spin on being without Ben Stokes for the rest of the summer.
The captain set the record for the fastest Test half-century by an England batter to round off a 3-0 series whitewash of the West Indies last month, but is out of the Test series against Sri Lanka.
The first Test starts at Old Trafford next Wednesday, with Ollie Pope leading the side.
Stokes tore a hamstring while batting for Northern Superchargers in The Hundred on Sunday and has set his sights on returning for the Test tour of Pakistan in early October.
