Time to love yourself, says Eddie after scare

WORKAHOLIC Eddie Howe has pledged that he will not change his schedule despite his recent health scare.

- By Ian Murtagh

That means 6am starts and post-6pm finishes will remain.

But as he recovers from the bout of pneumonia that kept him away from the game for two weeks, Newcastle’s head coach has done some soul-searching — and it is time he looked after No.1.

Asked if his work ethic will remain, Howe said: “Yes, I think it will because I feel that’s what works best for me. Early starts, some kind of physical activity — and I’m not there yet but I hope I will be. I don’t envisage much change.

“What I do envisage changing is just a little bit more care towards myself and a little bit more thought towards what I am doing. I believe I lead a really healthy lifestyle so there is no issue there. It’s more a case of giving myself a little more love if I can.”
