'Syria won't be launch pad for Israel attacks'

Leader says his war-torn nation needs a break
SYRIA's leader Abu Mohammed al-Jolani has vowed he will not allow the country to be used as a base to blitz neighbours Israel.
Mr Al-Jolani, who now prefers to be called by his birthname, Ahmed al-Sharaa, also called on Jerusalem to withdraw its forces from the country and stop its barrage of airstrikes.
He said: "We do not want any conflict, whether with Israel or anyone else, and we will not let Syria be used as a launch pad for attacks.
