Suspension for 'lying' Harley St plastic surgeon

A PLASTIC surgeon who performed liposuction at a private Harley Street clinic without proper registration and lied to the watchdog has been suspended.

Dr Sayed Mia was given a 12-month ban after claiming to Care Quality Commission inspectors that he was a patient, giving them a false name and contact details.

The watchdog had visited the Central London clinic after complaints were filed against Dr Mia, who was also carrying out male breast reductions there despite not having the requisite registration to do so.

Intercepted

The four CQC inspectors arrived on November 14, 2023, and introduced themselves. A short while later, Dr Mia was seen heading to the lifts with a suitcase.
