Presenter's comments caused outrage
NOVAK DJOKOVIC has accepted a public apology from the Australian Open host broadcaster after his interview boycott row dragged in the Prime Minister of Australia, Nick Kyrgios, and Elon Musk.
Channel Nine Presenter Tony Jones said sorry for his on-air comments about Serbian fans made last Friday, Djokovic branded "insulting and offensive".
Jones, below, had sung: "Novak, he's overrated! Novak's a has-been! Novak, kick him out!" during a live broadcast showing Serbian fans celebrating Djokovic's win against Tomas Machac.
