A JUST Stop Oil activist who was spared jail for covering a snooker table with orange powder during the world championships said his criminal damage conviction was "absolutely worth it".
Edred "Eddie" Whittingham and fellow eco protester Margaret Reid were given community orders following their demonstration at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre in April 2023.
The city's magistrates' court heard home energy adviser Whittingham, 26, jumped on the table and released the "starchbased powder" during a match between Robert Milkins and Joe Perry, before being pulled away by security staff.
