Sight loss woes due to a lack of donors

THOUSANDS of people are needlessly living with sight loss because of a shortage of cornea donors, NHS experts have revealed.
Of all organ donors who make specific selections, two-thirds do not donate corneas - the outer layer of the eye.
The number of the transplants in the UK reached a 10-year high of 5,071 last year.
