Raducanu ready for a Grand occasion as she books Swiatek clash
EMMA RADUCANU is relishing her return to the big stage after setting up a blockbuster clash against Iga Swiatek at the Australian Open.
The British No.2 played through the pain - and needed a medical time-out for her back - before beating Amanda Anisimova 6-3 7-5 to reach the third round in Melbourne for the first time.
As she left the Kia Arena, the 22-year-old wrote on the TV camera: "Fourth time lucky."
Raducanu lost in the second round in her previous three visits here - the furthest she has gone in an overseas Grand Slam event since her 2021 US Open triumph.
And the world No.61's reward is facing five-time Slam winner Swiatek on a show court at Melbourne Park.
