Scheffler shows Rory & Co he is still the man to beat
SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER joined Tiger Woods and Rory Mcllroy in the $100million club after starting his season with another dominant win at The American Express in California.
The world No.1 served early notice to reigning Masters champion Mcllroy that he will be the man to beat in the Majors this season.
The American was sidelined in January last year after accidentally stabbing his hand with the stem of a wine glass he was using to shape homemade ravioli.
But he started 2026 cooking on gas with a closing six-under par 66 to finish on 27-under at La Quinta Country Club for a four-shot victory.
It was his 20th win on the PGA Tour all in the past four years - to earn a lifetime membership. Nine of those 20 victories have been won by four shots or more.
