SCOTT HAS EYE OF THE TIGER

All-conquering Scheffler starting to draw comparisons with Woods
IT was not quite a fist-pump of Tiger Woods-like ferocity but it was a fist-pump all the same.
Having gone bogey-free for the previous 30 holes, Scottie Scheffler was faced with a 16-footer to save his par at the sixth hole, a par three.
The consequences of a miss would hardly have been catastrophic - the world No.1 was in possession of a seven-shot lead, after all.
But when he holed it Scheffler was as animated as he had been all week.
He was celebrating the moment for its message a message that told his rivals he did not intend to give them a glimmer of hope.
It was not a Tiger roar but it was Tiger mentality, Tiger game.
And how would Woods have responded to dropping two shots, as Scheffler did with a double-bogey at the eighth? By drilling a 340-yard drive down the next hole, hitting a wedge to four feet and knocking in his birdie putt.
To reinforce the point, he then plotted his way to the clubhouse without being close to another error.
