And those trusty aides of his, Tim Campbell and Baroness Karreness? Yep, they'd have been for the chop as well.

To prove I wasn’t afraid of making tough decisions, I'd have finished by firing myself.

But I guess this would somewhat defeat the point of the programme. And so the process must be allowed to run its course, mostly sticking to a single sacking per show but allowing for the occasional double, to keep these people on their toes.
