Amorim backs Bayindir again - but fight with Lammens looms
RUBEN AMORIM has backed Altay Bayindir to keep goal for Manchester United in tomorrow’s derby showdown at the Etihad Stadium.
Despite signing Senne Lammens on deadline day for an initial fee of £18.2million, United manager Amorim has stuck with Bayindir for the trip to Manchester City.
Bayindir has started all three of United’s Premier League games this season and, despite making high-profile mistakes, has got the nod over Lammens, with former No.1 Andre Onana having joined Trabzonspor on a season-long loan.
Amorim said: “Altay is going to continue because it’s a different league, different country, different training, different goal [for Lammens].
