DONALD Trump is, for us newshounds, the gift that keeps on giving. Scarce a day goes by when we don’t wake to another gloriously juicy story to sink our fangs into.

This week we had two for the price of one: two meaty treats tossed to us within hours of each other, both wonderfully improbable, off-the-cuff, typically Trumpian pronouncements on two American institutions — Hollywood, and Alcatraz.
I think Alcatraz was the tastier morsel.
Trump said he wants to reopen the notorious island jail 62 years after it was shut by Robert F Kennedy, JFK's brother and US attorney general.
