Family proud of 'restless' round-world dad, 71
A RETIRED British teacher on a charity bike ride round the world was tragically killed in the Moroccan earthquake earlier this month.
David Barden, 71, was staying in a hotel in the Atlas Mountains when it collapsed in the 6.8-magnitude quake. The disaster on September 8 has claimed more than 2,900 lives.
His daughter Sarah, 41, received a text message from her father just 40 minutes before the earthquake struck. He told her he was at the top of a mountain range in Tizi N'test.
