ACCORDING to the British Medical Journal (BMJ), Dr. Barbie would be struck off if she were to have been a practising medical expert in real life.

In an analysis of 92 Barbie career dolls, including 53 doctors, 10 scientists, and a paramedic, Katherine Klamer, a researcher from Indiana University, pointed out that none of the dolls fully met professional safety standards for their respective fields, citing loose hair and high-heeled shoes as two of the no-nos. I had a word with Barbie and asked her what she felt.
"Darling, hand me that mirror, would you?" asked Doctor Barbie, as she put down the scalpel she was using on a heart bypass patient and topped up her lipstick.
