Party taking its voters for granted, says Reform leader
NIGEL Farage unveiled Reform UK’s new Welsh leader and another Tory defector at a rally yesterday.
The Reform chief used the press conference in Newport to announce that Dan Thomas, a former Conservative council leader, would head up the insurgent party in Wales ahead of the May elections.
He also revealed that Senedd member James Evans had joined Reform after the Tories kicked him out last month over defection rumours.
Speaking at the International Convention Centre Wales, Mr Farage warned that Labour was “already in dire trouble” in Wales before the latest revelations on Lord Mandelson which have left Sir Keir Starmer fighting for his premiership.
And he accused the left-wing party of taking constituencies in the nation “for granted”.
