Mount happy to Tuch base and revive England challenge

MASON MOUNT has revealed that England head coach Thomas Tuchel called him to offer the Manchester United star hope of a return to the Three Lions squad.
The most recent of the midfielder’s senior caps came in the quarterfinal defeat by France in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Injuries have wrecked Mount’s first two seasons at United, following his £60million move from Chelsea, with the 26-year-old managing just 11 starts last term. Despite being away from the international scene for two-and-a-half years, Mount said his former Chelsea head coach Tuchel has left the door open for a return to the England fold - ahead of next year’s World Cup in North America.
