Daily Express
|November 22, 2025
A COMIC from 1939 found in an attic has become the most expensive of all time after selling for £7million.
The copy of Superman No. 1 was issued back in 1939
The copy of Superman No. 1 was discovered by three unnamed brothers stored in their late mother's home.
Despite being protected by only a stack of old newspapers in a cardboard box, the historic comic was found in an “unprecedented condition”.
Its sale price smashed the previous record, set by a copy of Action Comics No. 1 that sold for £4.5million in 2024.
