Mother’s cries as daughter arrested
Daily Express
|February 04, 2026
THE mother of Lucy Letby wailed in pain as her daughter was led away by police in handcuffs.
in documentary
Susan’s cries are heard for the first time in a Netflix documentary out today, which includes footage from Cheshire Constabulary.
As police officers enter Letby’s parents’ home in Hereford, her mum is also heard to cry “oh no” and “please no, not again, no!”
The police then go upstairs and arrest Letby while she is still in bed. This footage is understood to be the second time Letby was arrested at her parents’ home, in June 2019.
As police enter her bedroom, she sits looking stunned.
A policeman tells her: “I’m arresting you on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.”
After reading Letby her rights, he adds: “I appreciate it’s quite the shock. What we need for you to do now, Lucy, is for you to get up and get yourself dressed.”
Letby then walks down the stairs with officers and begs “please can I see my cat” and is allowed to hold a pet before she is cuffed.
