Major building project approvals reach record high

THE number of major building projects getting the green light is at a record high, the Government said yesterday.
The boast came a day after Gatwick airport got the OK for a £2.2billion revamp, including a second runway.
It brought the number of approvals in the second year of this Parliament to four so far. In the first year it was 21.
These include Sunnica — a controversial £600million, 2,500-acre energy farm spread along the Suffolk-Cambridgeshire border.
