SARINA WIEGMAN joked the Lionesses have been practising penalties “for hours” ahead of their semifinal showdown against Italy tonight.
England put the nation through the ringer in the quarterfinal when coming from 2-0 down against Sweden, before winning 3-2 in the shootout despite failing with four of their penalties. With a place in the Euros final up for grabs tonight, the defending champions' head coach said nothing has been left to chance.
A smiling Wiegman said: "We practise for hours and hours.
