Businesses in court over rival pet toilets

THE inventor of an indoor grass toilet for pooches that scooped funding on Dragons’ Den is locked in a High Court dogfight with a rival business.

Rebecca Sloan wowed the TV investors with her Piddle Patch pet housetraining product - real turf in a biodegradable litter tray — and accepted Steven Bartlett’s offer of £50,000 for 20% of her company Makeality.

But she claims that Laurencia Walker-Fooks and her firm City Doggo Ltd infringed her 2016 trademark by selling a similar item called Oui Oui Patch four years later.
