Walker-Peters tells Scarles to keep his head up after horror
KYLE WALKER-PETERS knew exactly how Ollie Scarles felt and made a beeline for him after his mistake sunk West Ham.
A horrible mis-kick from Scarles allowed Harry Wilson to pick out Raul Jimenez for Fulham's '85th-minute winner.
The left-back, 20, was tearful as he left the pitch with the Hammers still stuck in the bottom three.
But Walker-Peters went through a similar ordeal on his Champions League debut as a 21-year-old.
He was playing for Tottenham when his slip allowed Ousmane Dembele to score for Barcelona.
But he learnt from his mistake and Spurs ended up coming back to equalise and squeeze into the last 16.
Walker-Peters said: "I spoke to Ollie at the end on the pitch and told him just to keep his head up.
"I've made plenty of mistakes. I know how it feels, but you come back stronger from them.
"We've got another game Tuesday and we need to win."
