MADRID NEW BOY HANDED ZIDANE'S NUMBER
JUDE BELLINGHAM took Zinedine Zidane's No.5 shirt and not even the Real Madrid legend could have handled the occasion better.
It is hard to believe that Bellingham is just 19, Real's £88million new signing, and capable of wooing his new fanbase at the Santiago Bernabeu with such poise.
Being brave enough to wear the shirt of former club favourite Zidane set the tone.
And there was a wise nod to history and being in a room with the 14 European Cups Real have won.
"They have made me want to win one," said Bellingham.
"Their pedigree in Europe is the best.
"As you grow up you watch games from previous years, and you understand the achievements of what came before.
"That is what appeals, a great history, and you want to be a player who adds to it and makes the club the greatest."
