SUN lovers flocked to beaches and swimming pools on the UK's hottest day of the year yesterday - with temperatures above Ibiza's.
As the mercury passed 31C - a couple of degrees higher than on the Balearic island - sunbather Edurne Lasquibar enjoyed a lie-down on the diving board at Petersfield Open Air Pool in Hampshire.
Henry Goddard, three, and Charlotte Hamer, seven, had fun in the sun at beaches in Southsea, Hampshire, and St Annes, Lancashire. Fly-boarders, paddleboarders and jet skiers were out in force along the coast.
Some employees took advantage of WFH Friday to take laptops to the beach and type from a deckchair.Warnings
