I found biggest gold nugget...with my defective detector

A TREASURE hunter unearthed England's biggest gold nugget - while using a defective detector.
Richard Brock dug up the £30,000 lump within minutes of joining a search on Shropshire Hills farmland.
Some of his kit had failed so the retired cameraman was relying on an old machine with a fading display.
But Richard, 67, quickly struck gold near Much Wenlock in the shape of the 2.28oz nugget.
