'I feared for my life...Briton beaten in Georgia by 'Russia-directed' thugs

A BRITISH man arrested in Georgia feared he was going to die after being accused of being a military expert plotting to bring down the country's government.
Daniel Travis, 28, was detained by police last month and beaten over claims he tried to break into the parliament and was a spy.
Now in hiding and desperate to come home after his ill-fated trip to visit pals Mr Travis, from Liverpool, said prison officers attacked him during the 12 days he was held in a small dirty cell.
