Horizon scandal police identify 7 main suspects

...but no one likely to face justice before 2028

POLICE probing the Post Office Horizon IT scandal have identified seven main suspects with more than 45 people under investigation.

The operation, described as “unprecedented” in size and scale, is the first to examine potential offences of perjury and perverting the course of justice by staff who made key decisions in the Post Office’s investigations.

But police say no one is likely to face justice before 2028.

Operation Olympos is investigating potential offences related to the scandal. Millions of documents are being examined for the probe, which began in 2020.
