Aircraft on flying lesson 'spiralled' out of control, eyewitnesses say
THREE people were killed and a fourth person seriously injured when a helicopter crashed during a flying lesson.
The aircraft was seen by an eyewitness spiralling out of control at about 9.20am yesterday before it disappeared and crash landed into a hedge on the Isle of Wight.
Emergency crews were called to the site close to the A3020 near Shanklin, with police shutting nearby roads.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance confirmed that one of those on board had been airlifted to hospital.
