Demand for life-saving steward to get top civilian honour
THE hero train steward who saved countless lives during the Huntingdon train stabbing should be nominated for a George Medal, a gallantry gong collector has demanded.
Samir Zitouni, 48, was still fighting for his life in hospital yesterday. He was critically injured as he nobly tried to stop a knife attacker targeting passengers on the 6.25pm London North Eastern Railway service from Doncaster to London King's Cross on Saturday.
Anthony Williams, 32, of no fixed address, has been charged with 11 counts of attempted murder including one linked to an earlier attack at a Docklands Light Railway station in East London.
