Fury at £3bn loan lifeline to keep water firm afloat

THAMES Water customers will pay for the "futile" bailout approved by the High Court, an MP warned.
Liberal Democrat Charlie Maynard vowed to launch an appeal after a judge gave the company's £3billion funding plan the green light yesterday to prevent it from financial collapse next month.
But campaigners said the loan was just "a stay of execution" for Thames, which has around £16billion of debt.
