Reds rookie Kerkez pepped up for derby debut by rival Robbo

MILOS KERKEZ has revealed the Andy Robertson pep talk that helped him impress for Liverpool in the Merseyside derby win over Everton.

Kerkez enjoyed a productive afternoon on his derby debut in Saturday's 2-1 victory, largely keeping Everton dangerman Iliman Ndiaye subdued while also contributing to a number of attacks to help Arne Slot's side maintain their 100 percent start.

The £40million summer arrival from Bournemouth is competing for minutes with the long-serving Robertson, whose importance to the squad was recognised by Slot giving him the vice-captaincy following Trent Alexander-Arnold’s exit.
