Teenager Josh repays Cottagers' faith and earns ovation

- BY STEVE JUDGE

FULHAM CROWN THEIR NEW KING

JOSH KING was given a standing ovation from Fulham's travelling fans as he walked off at the Amex - and they were not the only ones raving about the 18-year-old.

Harry Wilson believes the sky's the limit for the Cottagers' latest Academy star.

King found himself in a battle with Carlos Baleba (both right), who Brighton valued at £115million to scare off Manchester United, that lit up the opening half hour of the game.

Fulham gave the teen a four-year contract last month to ensure he does not follow recent homegrown starlets Harvey Elliott, Fabio Carvalho, Ryan Sessegnon and Patrick Roberts out of the club.

Winger Wilson said: "Josh is clearly a top player.

"He showed last year, not just in training but in the few appearances he had, what a talent he is and he earned his starting spot with his performances in training and in the preseason games.
