Five found alive day after yacht capsizes

TWO Britons were last night understood to be among seven people missing after a tourist boat sank off Egypt's Red Sea coast.

Five survivors were rescued yesterday, while four bodies have been recovered.

It brought the total number of survivors from the four-deck Sea Story yacht to 33.

The vessel was carrying 44 people, including 31 passengers from countries including the UK, US, Germany, Poland and Spain, when it was struck by a large wave on Monday. There were also 13 crew aboard.

Those rescued were two Belgians, one person from Switzerland, a Finnish national and an Egyptian.

Distress

Amr Hanafi, the governor of the Red Sea, said a "high sea wave" hit the boat and caused it to capsize in "about five or seven minutes".
