REFORM UK leader Nigel Farage is backing the Daily Express Stop the Shoplifters crusade — and says his party will open courts around the clock to crack down on criminals.

- Sam Lister Associate Editor

Shoplifting is costing the nation's stores more than £2.2billion a year as organised gangs from home and overseas carry out raids with military efficiency.

Our campaign is calling on police to attend every reported theft, to end the frustration of business owners who often complain no action is taken by their local force.

Speaking exclusively to our new weekday news show The Daily Expresso, Mr Farage said the scale of the problem was "extraordinary".

Promising a “zero tolerance” approach, he pledged that a Reform government would bring genuine change to the country.

Mr Farage said: "I'm getting behind the Express's Stop the Shoplifters campaign.

"You are all paying higher prices because of shoplifting. It's time we got tough."
